need alignment help
« on: Mar 06, 2007, 09:48:05 PM »
i just put a 4 inch lift on my 89 pickup and i took it in to get an alignment. first i took it to les schwab and they were complaining about all these things, so then i took it to a goodyear store and they aligned it but couldnt get it perfect. they said that they would adjust the camber and casper but then the alignment of the tires would be offset. then they would fix that and then the camber would go off. i just wanted to know if its my drop down bracket is bad or something or if it has to do with my tie rods or what. any advice would help. thanks

Just give it 1/8-3/16" toe in and you'll be fine.
Casper is a ghost.
Caster is changed by your shackle length or drop hanger height.

dont forget about trunion bearings I had to use offset bearings to ensure the tires were vertical due to the fact that I added tires that were 10 inches over stock and toy axles were never designed for this size of tire or the stresses associated with them...... just sone 02

I was just wondering is this IFS or SAS? From the mension of drop down Brackets it sounds like IFS.
