Eastern Washington trails?
« on: Mar 06, 2007, 07:46:41 PM »
Namely anywhere within easy driving distance of Sun Lakes.

http://www.sunlakesparkresort.com/

I'm going to be going there for a week or 2 camping and I know there's alot of wide open spaces out there that I would think should offer some good wheeling.

Any other trails closer to Seattle would be great too!  :gap: I go out to Cle Elum every now and then. But haven't done any trails cept Reiter Pit off highway 2.

I know Washington has to have more and/or better trails than Reiter. Or am I wrong? lol

East side really doesnt have much.  Evans creek, walker, elbe, reiter, naches, liberty are all good trails.  liberty is off of bluet pass pretty much by cle-elum.  Reiter has some of the ebst trails and so does naches.

There is alot of trails off Hwy 12 by Rimrock lake. There is Pucker Ridge which is one of the nerve racking trails around. There is alot of spots on it with 100+ foot cliffs on each side.

pucker ridge i wouldn't run in anything but a stock rig just because its not the climb but the off camber point where your at 25 plus degrees and your next to a 100+ cliff no fun imo.

ya i agree with rednck1980 pucker ridge isnt just a trail with 100+ cliffs on eachside it also has the NASTY sidehills where you get the pucker factor in a stock rig...

I am not real familiar with the area around the resort you are staying , but you will be near lots of dunes. Naches and rimrock are prime east side wheeling areas, but you are no where near them at the resort,
