Can I leave the detent pin out from between the shift rails with a normal shifter?

Reason being, I just finished building my 4.7 case and am wondering if I should go back and take it out while I still can before I seal it up. Just incase I want to do twin stick or a custom tripple shifter in the future. If I can leave it out and everything will work fine, that would be great.

Thanks for any info

You can leave it out, there's a lot of guys that run without the interlock pin.

Interlock pin, I knew I called it the wrong name, and after reading those instructions 10 times, figure I would remember what it's called  :slap:
