I'm in the planning and parts gathering phase for my next Toyota project.  Forgive me if I missed something as I haven't had allot of time to keep up with this forum.  I just scored a front axle for the SAS minus the knuckles and was thinking of going with the 6 stud setup.  After I posted a question in customer support about their availability, I was told they were weaker then a ARP stud equipped stock knuckle, and the thread was locked so I couldn't ask any other questions.  Does anyone know what all the hype was about when they came out, and if they are a good option to consider?  If they are not the way to go, does anyone have a set of stock knuckles laying around for cheap?  Thanks for any info or help!  :beerchug:

can't go wrong either way, but if you could swing it i'd do the 6 stup with 6 arp's in each.

TG is the only place selling them at this time.

From what I've heard, ARP studs in the stock knuckles is more than enough. Or even the 9/16" stud D44 upgrade is fairly cheap, easy and strong :)

Thanks for the info, BigMike said:

I highly regard his opinion and like keeping my business at Marlin, but if the 6 studs are truely a better part, I would like to go with them for strength as well as the cool factor.  Does anyone else run these or know anything about them?  Thanks.

Check front range's used parts section, I think they have some.

Hey what happened to your 82 that you were bulding up a while back. I liked how it was going.....do you still have it?

I sold the 82 a couple years ago.  Someone bought it up in Washington.  I still haven't really heard anything regarding the 6 stud vs 4 stud issue I was writing about above.  Does anyone know why Marlin doesn't sell something they designed?  The reason I'm even considering them is I have a front axle minus hubs, and would rather buy everything at once.

Thanks for reposting that again, I'm looking for some factual information like, "they are weaker then stock" or "they tend to loosen up" etc....  Common sense seems like they would be a better piece then the factory units.

I looked at minisimps sig, and scrolled through everything.  didn't really talk about the knuckles.  Forgive me if I seem ignorant, but I haven't been on the forum in awhile, and I'm trying to figure this out.  I just bought a 95 4runner that I'm going to build, and put some 37" IROKS on.
