new NC kid

im currently messing around with an old FJ40 thats gone to hell and back :-\, ready to get into a 84-85 Pickup or 4RUNNER.  :yupyup: the SAS seems like a pain in the  :moon: so im looking for a vehicle equiped with the solid axle already. the 84-85 4RUNNER being my dream ride  :crossed:

Them runners are hard to come by but sure are SWEET. I had and '87 w/ 4", detroits, and 4:88's. She actually wheeled pretty darn well, but I had to get rid of her cause of the IFS and as you said, SAS is a pain in the rear. Also costs alotta $. So I sold her and got me an 85 pickup. I was looking for a solid axle runner but couldn't find one. Anyway, welcome to the board, MOJO!!!!
85 P/U, 5.29's, ARB's, 5" Skyjacker front w/ shackle, 5" Chevy rear w/ shackle+buggy,in cab cage, Ford shock hoops etc. I WANT CROSSOVER!!!

im currently in High Point NC, fixing to move back to my parents so i can return to school so money is kinda tight, i have a 95 caddy im going to sell, looking to get $10,000 - $8,5000 out of it, all of that going to my 'new' ride, wanting something that i can drive daily, and wheel' on the weekends so nothing to extreme :p , but thats what they all say in the begening, some good trails around here last time i checked thanks for any help and ideas

nice. 10 grand should be plenty to buy that runner and hook it up nicely. lets see some pics when you find one. good luck

hi Mojo hows it going I just happen to have an 85 runner but its not for sale. I had an 84 long bed sence i had a kid i had to get somthing with a back seat i had to drive down to Fresno to get it and i am very happy with it i traded my 84 plus 500$ It was a good deal I think I drove it for about a year and just blew the motor. So i have to get that fixed I orderd my dual caces but have to wate to put it in good luck on your hunt i will keep my eye open and keep you in mind HAPPY WHEELIN
