New Forum Speed! Is it Fast?

That is amazing considering that there are almost 400 people on the forum right now!!!

I did do a complete site backup about half an hour ago..

Also on some machines I am still pulling up the pages that are hosted on the old server. So the domain name transfer is still being completed.

I have now installed a PHP compiler accelerator on this new server, and I am getting speeds in the ten-hundredths (< 0.1 seconds) for the first time now.

From the index page, "Page created in 0.084 seconds with 6 queries."

As of this post, 29 keys have been cached so far.

What? Are most search results not relevant? I can change the search index and/or look into it

I stopped using search function awhile ago because it seemed like 90% of the time the results I was getting were irrelevant to the query... But yesterday, after reading this topic, I decided to give it a shot and it seemed to work a lot better (only tried it once though). Oh well, I know how to google search through this site and it's easy enough.

Ok,

This morning our server was upgraded to 2 GB RAM which mean I get to tweak some more settings closer to their limit

I have done some reconfiguration with the way the server is caching the forum, and I would like to know if you notice any difference at all? It might take a couple of days for the changes to take effect. Just wondering if you've noticed any difference since about lunch time today.
