Welders

im sure this has been covered many times, but i suck at searching and couldnt seem to find any post on it so here it goes
im looking for a welder to start with, i need it to be capable or running of reg household power, and capable of welding 1/4 thick steel.  im just wondering what would be a good mig welder to start with?  any ideas or thoughts would be appreciated, thanks

i had some crappy cheap harbor freight welder, and then i got smart and got a lincoln 140C, it was $637 and runs 110 volt with a 15 amp breaker, and it makes great welds

  I'm new to welding also and picked up Lincolns 100HD at Home depot for around $400 I think, and its the wire feed that runs on a 110v and you can add a Mig kit.  I love it, its been great for what I need (trailflex install, and light metal fab) and it'll weld up to 1/4".  I do plan on upgrading n the future though, but for now it handles what I throw at it.

I've got a hobart 135 and it work awsome, i can weld better than with the big welder. It runs off a household circut. One of the best 110 welders imo.

I have a hobart 120 mig that runs off of 110 and I  it!

My buddie has a lincoln 110 flux core that wasn't too much  and thats pretty nice also (for a beginner)

I went all out when I bought my welder. Its a miller210 runs off of 220, I use my dryer outlet. Best money I ever spent. It will last forever, and I have the option to run a spool gun to weld aluminum. I could also use fluxcore but the MIG lays some really nice beads. I can't weld for , but this welder makes it easy.

i have  a snapon muscle mig,,,i really like it  was a little spendy  but has a ton of options

My dad just bought one of those!  I'm using a Hobart 135 to tack all my suspension stuff and trailering it to my dad's house to use the new Miller for some good penetration!
