J10 lift?

Here again I am not familer with this jeep thing. But a friend o mine just got a (year unk)  j10 w/ granny lo. this thing has so much torque it scares me. never put in low range the whole trip.
It needs lift in the front badly an rear is easy. cause he faceplanted 4 or five times on the trail this weekend. he wants to spring over the front for the lift. would that or longer springs and shackles be the way to go. this time we are not gonna go crazy high with the lift. maybe 6-8 inches.
he needs to keep up appearances, since my truck didnt get stuck and pulled him out twice....lol
anyhow I figure ya'll are the jeep gurus and all. thanks
