somewhat new from northern indiana
« on: Feb 13, 2007, 06:28:13 AM »
Im a senior at purdue and am in west lafayette, indiana most of the time, but am from northern indiana.  when i first started i had an 85 4runner, with a 3" bl, 2" suspension and 33's.  i decided to build up a 82 hilux SR5 instead my dad came a cross for 300 bucks.  i bobbed the bed, but new springs on, homemade front shackles, rear lift shackles, 1 1/2" bl, and the 33's from the 4runner...put an 85 front axle on.  the guy that we got it from put a w56 tranny in.  i welded up shock hoops in the front so i now have 13" of travel in front and around 12" in the back.  1 1/2" wheel spacers all around, but am soon puting an ifs rear axle in and losing the spacers.  i have a new front spring hanger that is awaiting install as well.  i have a custom front bumper, while the sliders and rear bumper are waiting to be made.  i have 4.88s ready to go in and am welding the rear.  planning on putting an aussie in the front and call her good for awhile.  Its painted flat black with its share of rust.  patched the floorboards but the bed still has holes.  frame is in awesome shape.

4runner is for sale too.  anyone intersted let me know.  its posted in other forums in the for sale section.

im almost to 12 posts...once i do i can use pms finally right?
