What is the cost of that cabin again? I was considering it but camping would be good too, couse I figure 2 nights. I will be there for shure! I need to be back home for the fireworks show with the family though, even if I have to come home for the show then head back up to the park afterwards. IHow long are you gonna be down for and what dates Cole? I really need to put all the plans in there final stage and get the time off work.

I think the cabin was 100$ per night and it fits eight people, so that is 12.50 per person per night. I want to arrive on thursday and stay until midday on Sunday. My friend Jeff and I are planning on wheeling thursday night, friday, saturday then tubing on the river Sunday which is June 21-24. If I arrive early enough on thursday I may tube before other people show up then tube again on Sunday. I don't know for sure yet.

What is the fireworks show? When is that?

My town puts on a fireworks display every year, and it is kinda a family tradition to watch the show. It usually only last about an hour and a half. I don't know what date its gonna be or if the city has even sceduled it yet. They usually put it on saturday night about   7-8 o'clock. If this is the case I will be there thurs-sat around 3:00 or 4:00, unless I decide to come home and go back but with gas prices like they are I doubt that.  :dunno:

Why wouldn't the town wait two weeks and make their fireworks display on the 4th of july???? But either way you better come down.

Your right I've been totaly wrong about the dates. I looked back and noticed it was the 21st -24th.  :smack: OK I need to quit posting in my sleep. Hmmm now I got some thinking to do..... 21st to the 24th I got it now! :beerwhack:

So 12.5 each for 3 nights, if there are 8 of us? How many have you got so far, I may be good for two? Camping is free right?

I will most likely have 4 with me. I will have to see. I don't even know if the cabin is open for sure.

Thats too bad you won't be able to make. I am not sure what camping costs, I don't think it will cost anything if we rent the cabin. It does cost 15$ per day to wheel though. I don't remember being charged to camp on new years, but maybe we were.

I agree a chevy convesion van or a chevy rv, but gas for a big block would kill me. If gas prices continue to rise I could stay in a hotel for what I would save on fuel. I think a RV with a deisel would be nice but $$$$.

So are all you locals bailing out? You have been awful quiet. I guess two hours is a long way to drive. It is a good thing I live so close to Flat Nasty or else I wouldn't be willing to go either  :shake:

Me and my friend mike have been working on his runner getting ready for this trip. He broke his front r&p a couple weeks ago and we are gonna replace the front and rear with 5.29s. While the front is tore down we are replacing the 7" superlift springs with some rears up front with J springs added in, which also means moving his ifs box forward and plating the frame. Then we have to address some cooling issues and ......Oh man time is gonna run thin. I just ordered some seats and weld on beadlocks for my toy too, and I still have to replace the rear spring I bent in hotsprings.

:beerchug: We are gonna need more alcohol over here, stat!

I'm gonna rent the cabin for fri and sat night so if ya need showers or a cool place to crash we should have room. My buddie is bringing his wife and I am bringing my son. If I can talk her into it I may get my wife to bring my daughter up too but she thinks she will be bored.

I hope ya arent backing out on me , you havent said much lately???

I'm back. I'm gonna let this thread die so if ya want pics let me know.

Me and my friend Mike had a great time and after fighting a small problem with a rad hose and a thermostat, we went out just long enough to break a u joint. We picked up 2 joints from a local parts store and after replacing the bad joint we broke a yolk on my friends $600 front long slip shaft. "ouch" The park owner was wheeling with us at the time and after my friend broke all the jeeps behind us decided the trail wasnt worth waiting for and backed out to the bypass.

We parked my friends runner and headed out with Ron once more when the allpro crossmember broke in his ride. After limping Rons ride and Mikes runner up to Rons barn we grabbed a yolk from his spare parts bin, then  we did some welding and were ready to go back at it.

We jumped back on the trail with Ron and Sheila and his daughter and son in law rode along with my friend Mike. We did black diamond (extreme) trails all weekend and had the best time ever.   We did most of our wheeling that night.

While we were in between obistacles Ron asked if I was coming back this fall. The TLCA is putting on an annual event at the park. I don't know the details yet but soon.

Worked great no issues at all. I have yet to drop the air pressures as low as I plan too, but I was under 10psi in these pics. The slightly wider wheel and lower pressures really helped with the tread contact. I was a noticable difference for shure. :gap:
