ok iam having a problem deciding on what tranny to use, i have a g52 aka peace of crap haha anyway but i want to upgrade to somthing better and i know that turbo trannys are the best but are also very hard to find and i was thinking maybe a w56 but i dont know if it will bolt up ......any help would be great thanks

what year is your truck. if you have a 22R or a 22RE they take the same trannys but the 22RE tranys are stronger than the 22R If i was you Id get a tranny out of a erly 90s truck with a 22RE good luck i hope this helps

oh sorry its an 85 carbed that is why im changing the tranny

the shifters don't line up but with some floor bord modifications you can fix that

BEWARE!!! Some W-56's are forward shifting like  your G-52! the way to make sure you have a W-56 is to count the bolts holding the tranny together if it has 9 bolts it's a W.  look carefully them bolts are tricky things (they hide)

Well everyone has a opinion and mine is a stick out of a v-6 yota. They are R150 real good trannys and a low 1st gear

yes it will but you have to change the bellhousing
