pro comp shocks????
« on: Jan 27, 2007, 07:38:32 PM »
I was gonna buy some pro comp shocks for my truck, and was wondering what ones would work best with a five inch spring lift plus a 1inch shackle lift. I would buy bilsteins but can't afford them. Im thinking i need a 12 inch travel shock. Can any one whose run these shocks or has an idea help me out. Thanks in advance.  :help:

The best thing to do is flex it out and do some measuring  :slap:

The only problem im having is that the springs aren't mounted to the truck I have to buy all the parts first so should i just wait till i have them on the truck and then buy shocks?

I'm running a 3" (approximately) lift with 14" Procomp 1000's and I like it.
I max out front and rear shocks when fully flexed/compressed.
Just build your front shock towers accordingly, diagonal your rear shocks, or even better, go through the bed.

Mini i can't really go through the be but i can triangulate them how tall should i build my shock towers, short or tall? right now i think the ones i have bent up are 10 from the shock mount to the top of the frame.

You really need to max out your truck to get that answer.
I flexed my as much as it would go, measured, added an inch, and that was where I mounted them.
