t-case in & output spline failure
« on: Jan 23, 2007, 06:15:29 PM »
The input and output splines on my Marlin Crawler have failed. I have two stock boxes with stock gears behind a W56.

I was looking at the total spline unit being sold here but it is only for the R151.

Is there anything for my application?

Thanks...

How are they failing? What are you doing to damage them? (motor, tire size, type of wheeling) This seems unusual for most setups.
You could upgrade to 23 spline.

That's a pretty mile setup for that kind of damage. I wheeled with 37's and 21 spline duals for years without any t-case problems.
If you are really hammering on it then you should consider upgrading to Marlins "total spline" input gears.
Good luck
