Looking for these kind of tail lenses
« on: Jan 21, 2007, 09:58:09 PM »
ive tried almost all the places i can think of online even procarparts.com (used to carry them)  :think:but no luck. im talking about some clear tail lenses for my Runner. they look like the ones shown below. i got a set one time on ebay but it seems like they only appear once in a blue moon.  :rivers: im trying to see if anyone knows of an import shop or maybe a direct japan type shop that may carry these as a regular stock item. any help is appreciated guys... thanks.

as i stated in my post, call them, they dont list it on their site, but they do have them for sale in their auctions... so that means they have them.....

as far as not e approved, thats a foreign thing, lights in the us have to be us dot approved, of course clears are not, but no one here cares about that.....

yea, i just found em about the same time you posted LOL

still 100 bux for some tail lights seems steep even for me who dont really care spending money on something that makes my rig look good. :dunno:

the e rated thing is likely similar to DOT deal. i really dont care. if they give me a ticket ill do what i did last time and slap a set of stockers real quick and get it written off.

r u for realzzzzzz... You're asking to get pulled over for those tail lens...... Don't know where you are but those sure as hell ain't legal in california....... Just go to any Import racing shop or mini- truck performance shop , they can get it..... If you can't find it through there try F.B.I located in Rancho Cordova, Ca.  They're called Fender Bender I-????.  Forgot the last abbreviation.Anyways........ they deal with mini trucks such as air bags and lowering kits and other stuff.Hope that helps.

I just stick with good ol stock lenses because they are easier to tape up and run until you shatter it completely after scrapping against rocks. Hell regular lenses arent too cheap anyway, those things probably cost way more than rednoranges. if you dont wheel it much than they are a fine investment. just my  :twocents:

umm, yea, as you can see.... i had em on my grey 84 long bed and i was pulled over a few times. only times i did get pulled over was near the end of month. (quota time for cops and such) tho even then, it was a fix it ticket or a 15 dollar fine so i didnt care cus i liked em.

as for rubbing em against rocks... i havent been around an area that posses that problem for me. most of socal trails and such ive encountered are nice and open......... unless im hanging off the edge of a 3000ft canyon :thud:

either way, i ended up buying a set of stockers for the time being. im gonna hit up some of the local mini-truck and race shops and see what they come up with. i know ill find em, it'll just take a while. figured id ask around here in case someone knew exactly where to find em or better yet, if someone had some for sale

Not that it means much... But euro style lights are :gay: in my opinion... Nothing's worse than seeing a really clean car/truck with euros  :nonono: BUT... to each his own  :twocents:
