Yeah moab is gonna have to wait for now.  Gotta mount shocks, shackles, a million gussets, the winch, 5.29 gears, the longs, air tanks, hi-lift jack, d-ring shackles, and then burn in alllllllll the welds.

This is where I'm at.  Springs hooked up, shackles tacked on, and finally off the jackstands!  I still gotta weld in the bumpstops where the 2x4's are and install some poly bump stops close to the shackle, I'm starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel!

Go big! I bought 36's and now I want 40's, but I will probably skip to 42's when the time comes. I just got a bunch of stuff on the to do list before then.

Well, waiting on bumpstops from poly performance.  In the meantime I'm pulling off the hub gears and my stock modified (homebrew hy-steer) steering arms and sending em off for Cryo.  I Cryo'd a set of stock Birfs and they held up pretty good.  Broke one, then went to longs.  Hubs aren't nearly as sloppy as longs and contrary to popular belief cryo actually decreases brittleness.  It's deep cryo'd at -300 for 10 hours then heat treated at +300.  Way cheaper than bobby's gears but won't be quite as strong.  I still want a weak link somewhere other than R&P.  But yet, stronger than stock, nice happy medium.

Looks good  :beerchug:.
With a truss that tall you may want to add more bracing. Also if the truss is butt welded and not bent, corner gussets would be a good idea  :twocents:.

looking sweet! want to see it flexed. i have the same springs sitting at the house for the swap next year. so what made you decide on the spring hinges instead solid mounts. and what size heim did you use with the shackles?

The hinges are supposed to allow for total uninterrupted droop.  What will be interesting is if I can get enough droop travel out of my shocks to even use the hinge.  Oh well, all the heims are 3/4 FK, the heims on the shackles are 3/4 but run high mis-alignment spacers and a 9/16 bolt.  Later I'll post up my mackdaddy rear bumpstops!
