the best lookin h2 ive seen yet
toyminator2000 – There has to be dumb people in order for there to be smart people
I know where that spot is, that's Millers Jeep Slide on Lockwood Trail.
Please tell me that trail is harder than it looks.
Have you seen those commercials: Used Hummer H2 for sale slight body damage........... Change that to Used Hummer H2 new paint
Kinda off topic but has any one seen some one try to take a hummer on the rubicon
ive seen a ton of h1 on the con, they do well but leave with many scarsand i saw an h3, same story. i saw an h2 on the tahoe side, but only on the dirt road parts
personally i think the H1s arent offroad friendly, H2s and Offroad should never be used in the same sentence, and H3s do probably the best when equipped with diff lock and traction control.. (uncle has one)still hate Hummers.
The H3 is now one of the best out of the box offroad vehicles available from a factory, next to the Rubicon and Powerwagon. Offroad mags LOVE the h3. I dont doubt they do well now with all the input from Petersons, and Four Wheeler, ect. I just wish Toyota had jumped on the same bandwagon. An offroad designed tacoma or 4runner would be bad ass.
i agree, the FJ is the closest for toyota.
I'd like to see a V8 offered in the FJ and Taco. FJ especially since they offer one in the 4runner. But I know it wont happen. For some reason Toyota seems slow about jumping on bandwagons. The power bandwagon - look how long it took them to make a truck with decent power, and still no V8 taco/fjFull size bandwagon - look how long it took them to build a real fullsizeSUV bandwagon - again too little too late, full size SUV's were hot for so long and Toyota missed the boatyes, they still sell lots of vehicles, but they could have sold more. Lots more.
I had a friend in high school who was pretty wealthy. He bought a late model H1 for something like $24,000. We took it wheeling and it SUCKED in the local terrain. Way too heavy, big and crappy for the tight trails we have. Not to mention everything that broke was impossible to find, and EXPENSIVE. Really the only cool thing was the run a flat system. He ended up selling it about 6 months later for 30 Gs and bought a brand new tahoe and dropped some 24s on it. I had always thought H1s were awesome until I rode in his. Never liked them since. That was what was so ridiculous about the whole H2 and H3s as being "good wheelers, like the H1" because the H1 served its duty well to the armed forces but for the individual who wants to go offroading, it is just NOT practical.Though, the H3 is now one of the best out of the box offroad vehicles available from a factory, next to the Rubicon and Powerwagon. Offroad mags LOVE the h3. I dont doubt they do well now with all the input from Petersons, and Four Wheeler, ect. I just wish Toyota had jumped on the same bandwagon. Isnt the american market along with i think the european market the only two that have IFS in their Toyota 4x4s? Arent the rest still SA...?I think even going back to a SA would be enough for the toyota to get its foot back in the 4x4 scene.I havent sat in an FJ or the previous FJ 40 to make an argument like you have... but from the looks of it... i can agree.and i do agree with the rest of your post as well.
