Sweet....the Cummins is an awesome power plant. Been doing a little reading on the ULSD myself, but haven't really figured out if I need to use additive or not. Kinda still researching.
Try looking here.. www.thedieselstop.com for some better diesel expertise.

The turbo diesel register is all Cummins and the best source of information by far. Get the magazine and get on the forum and all your questions will be answered.
If you still have control you aren't going fast enough

Nice rig, I'm jealous. I've been wanting to get a newer CTD and am really shooting for an 06 as well. Just not sure if I want to get a 6 speed or auto, I dont tow thatmuch and just read an article in Diesel World about Banks' new billet converter, supposedly it can handle 1200lbs of torque , so I guess the auto wouldnt be as scary to rely on for towing. Also the electric rear slider is  :afro2:

TDR has a ton of good info but you do have to pay to have full access. Dieseltruckresourse.com isn't as good as TDR but is getting there and they are free.

BTW, my thoughts on Banks is ya might have to rob a couple to buy Gale's stuff.  :hahaha: Serious though, look around because the diesel performance market has blown up way beyond Gale Banks and though he does make a decent product, there are many others out there who make at least as good a product and many times a better product for a whole lot less.

I have a 06. Make sure they have done all the recall stuff. I have had 3 or 4, cant remember. But I got one of the early 06's, so you may be fine. And I have had to bring it in twice to get the computer reflashed/updated or whatever they do.

I dont use a additive yet, but I am going to start just to be on the safe side. Nice truck man you will love it.

Here is mine.

Ummmmmmm I dont remember what the recalls were for. I was in a hurry when I dropped the truck off, and didnt pay attention. But it was nothing big. Oh I remember one was a ABS sensor.

I have a KORE Chase system on the truck. It lifts the truck 2.5" in the front, and 1" in the back.

06's are nice, definately look into an addative of some sort deezol, diesel power whatever you can get for a good price.

Banks stuff is way over priced and under powered compared to everything else on the market.  Plus they want you to buy their "bundle" or waste of parts.  Get an AFE air intake system, cut out the cat and muffler, throw in an MBRP muffler or something similar and a strait pipe to replace the cat, you already have a 4" exhaust system stock you dont need a whole new system.  The stock intercooler will be fine and their high ram is a waste of money.
