Hey guys, its been a long long time since I have read or posted on the old Marlin board. I had a few freinds on here (infernaljeep, toyota on 40dees and wraith) I built my truck using nothing but the info here, and it went very smooth because of it.
Anyway just sayin whats up. The wheeling up here in Alaska is MUCH different than California. You basically never go alone and always go prepared, and a winch is a mandatory item among other things like saws and such. I remember talking to Dean in the shop R.I.P. and he was excited for me about moving up here, its a 4 wheelers haven.
The only bummer is there are not many rocks to play on so thats sort of a bummer, but they are out there.
I picked up a pristine fj-80 land cruiser with factory lockers, and the stupid thing almost wheels better than my locked pickup
although im much less inclined to drive it through an alder bush!
Anyway just sayin whats up yall, hope everyones trucks are coming along well. I almost sold mine, but I snapped out of it and went wheeling, only to fall in love all over gain with her
