I recentally purchased an 88 single cab short bed SR5 V6 pickup for a grand for my project truck.  I plan on putting a gear drive t-case with gears in it. Motor has been recentally rebuilt just need to find new heads.  I already have the Solid Axle for the front goning in soon.  I plan to run 5.29's with lockers front and with 36's or 37's still undecided.  Hope to be Wheelen soon.
I am in Ione CA. if anyone knows the area.

I got my pictures but have been busy working and on my days of I changed the heads on  my toyota and have helping my buddys strip out our new derby car so I will try and post them this thursday or friday.

Oh yea on my day off I also picked up a tranny and Tcase for my gear drive case for free, and also traded the stock SR5 rims with 31's for my 85 straight axle and with my next check I am ordering all the stuff I need for my SAS, so it is coming along one paycheck at a time.  The one good thing about being young is paying cheap rent to parents and being able to spend a lot more on projects.

thats for shure I wish I still lived at home with my parents get all the toys while you can sounds like you got a good deal on that axle what kind of tranny and dose he have any more freebees

Yea actually I got the rear end with the front end out of an SR5 85  he was going to give them to me and he then asked about those rims and tires and I told him I had no use for them so he could have themso I will have an extra rear end because I already have a V6 rear end in my truck.And the tranny is an early 80's 4 speed but the guy said if I wanted the Tcase I had to take it all and it worked before it was rremoved. So far the only thing paid for is the truck and heads and I will buy springs and rotors and  other little things for the SAS.

I have to tried to put pictures on  because I finally got time sit down and use our scanner but it will not accept the file and I am not that computer literate.So I will try to get help tomarrow. But on the upside I is stating to look like a really good christmas in my garage including Hyster vented rotars and 44044 with allpro springs for the rear. All I am waiting now is wiring 220 into my garage so we can use my buddies brand new miller-matic 251 instead of my old little 110 buzz box. Hopefully pics to come if so I will post in project section. stupid computers anyway.
