does the body mount bracket need to be modified
« on: Dec 27, 2006, 02:46:56 PM »
So im doing a 5" trail flex lift on my 83'. Last night I test fitted one side. It looks like the bracket that comes out for the body mount needs to be notched out to let the hanger move adequetly.

one piece of advice, if you plan on running a large tire now is the perfect time to relocate the body mounts so your tire doesn't rub/catch on it.

When I had springs I used the closest hole to the frame and chopped the rest off because my tire would stuff up against that mount and eventually break birfs or chunk the tires really bad.

R.I.P to my Papa, I miss you pops......
