Why do I want to do this??

So a few months ago I bought my '80 Lond bed.  It's super clean and besides the new hood there really is no othe damage to the body, which makes me wanna keep it just like it is, 3in lift with 32's. But now I've been wanting to build it. I've got my buggy which I love but for some reason I wanna wheel the piss out of the 80.   It's by far my favarite Yota so I don't wanna destroy it.  My wife won't let me spend money on ti right now which is what is saving it right now but I've been toying with the idea of selling the buggy to build it. Though every thing that is on the buggy would be used to build the 80. So why sell it when I already have the parts?    Crap this is killing me.  Some one tall I'm stupid for wanting to do it!! Please!!

Don't cut it up. I've been trying to get my hands on one at agood price, but out east threy're all rotted. get a 2nd gen truck and hammer the piss out of it.

Personaly I would have a dedicated trail rig and a good daily driver thats dependable which is what I think your describing, but if your just jonesing to build then try to get as much free or slightly used stuff from friends, save it up and build your butt off Ive finished my Jeep, helped MINI finish his truck and now Im doing an XJ for my daughter but then what do I do with my spare time

I've got the buggy that started as an 85 extra cab it's street legal and stuff, but I want to wheel the 80.  I like having a trail rig and DD.  If I built the 80 it would end up being my trail rig than I'd have to buy another dd.  Than I'd want to build that too!!!   Maybe if I sold the 80 and bought  car then I wouldn't be torn apart like this.!!   No, then I'd want to hot rod the car.

Another thing is I think since the buggy is done I'm just jonesin to build again.  Maybe I'll build Wheeler a 4x4 "Hot wheels" toy!!

Not a bad thought Mark!!  If I did just swap every thing over I would just give away the cage and frame, since it was given to me.  But I think the wife said it best " if you do that then you won't have anything to build for me".

You are also right about the sickness Mark, if I see a pile of rocks or some type of "obstacle" all I can think is " whats the hardest line there".  It could be in someones front yard or on the side of an interstate. I just wanna wheel!!!
