Feasibility of a Ford Dana 60 in a toyota?

I know the F-350 Super Duty trucks have high pinion Dana 60 axles. Is this a desirable axle? What would be required in putting one of these in a toyota? Obviously the pumpkin is on the wrong side but a Dana 300 case can fix that if I am correct? Are these axles as burly as the older kingpin versions?

For some reason I thought the Super Duties came with Dana 50s but I'm not sure.I might be wrong,I don't know too much about the newer trucks.

I don't know much either but I think the F-250 had a Dana 50. The F-350 should have a Dana 60 front.

Until about 2003/2004 only the dually trucks had 60's. After that all F-350's had them, and no they are not as strong as the earlier axles. I'm not sure about axle shaft specs but the main weakness is in the wheel bearings and hubs they are a one piece unitized NON SERVICABLE part. A single replacement hub is about $350 from Autozone. Dynatrac makes a kit to fix this but their web site doesn't list a price :headscratch: I've heard it's about $1600. The Dana 50's aren't much stronger than a 44 but they still have those gay hubs.

IFS is best kept at ambient temperature in a pile of scrap in the backyard.  When kept under a functioning vehicle, it tends to greatly diminish said vehicle's offroad ability.     -reklund5

Yep, you are right on!!!  Just the other day I saw first hand inside one of those "Dana 50's" and the diff gears itself are very identical to a D-44,  no joke!!!  I was giving this guy who owns the truck a ton of crap telling him that my lil Toy front axle diff was just as big and strong as his big bad a_s jacked up Diesel truck.  :hahaha: :haha: :ha_ha: He was PO'd to say the least.  :tantrum:

The newer F-350's all have the 60's not the earlier ones.  Great idea you have going on there though.
