I have an FJ40 with a tired F engine and I plan to repower.  On the ground I have two 2F engines and a 3F engine all of whose conditions are somewhat unknown, they were all pulled to do engine swaps at some time in the past.  I have been told that the best engine that I could build out of my available parts would use a 2F block and the 3F head. I would like to run the original carb, manifolds, and distributor off of the F engine, is this reasonable or am I missing something?

I would ask this same question over on Ih8mud.com as youll get the answer you need faster... The cruiser section moves kinda slow over here....
