Has anybody out there ever done a 3B into a mini truck, using the mini truck W56 transmission. I could use the original cruiser 4 speed, but want to use the 5 speed. If anybody has info or experience that can help, please reply.
Thanks.

I'd think it's too long, too heavy, probably not the best idea.

I think he's talking about a landcruiser diesel, which we didn't get here, but I could be wrong.

ok, my bad, i was thinkin of the 4b cummins, seen one swapped into a chevy 3/4 ton, my buddy wants one in his toy, but i want no part of that build, the motor is too dang tall, get a 2lt out of canada, that would be a great motor

The 3b wouldnt be a good swap imo.  Its not very powerful and its quite heavy.  Around 80 hp and 250 tq with a 900lb weight.  They are dead reliable and will run forever though.  A 2.8l diesel from a 2nd gen overseas toyota would be a better swap.

2LT or 2LTE would be the way to go

A 2LT will "bolt up" to a 2LTE engine! (tho the motor mount angle is slightly off so yer best bet is to actually redo the motor mounts)
yeah yeah - still IFS...

Sorry yes I mean a Toyota 3B that came in Cruisers in Canada. Have a few doing nothing and wondered if it would work, without using the cruiser trans. Could be done, but major mods to bellhousing etc. And a 3B does weigh about 250lbs more than 22RE. Didn't want to use the cruiser transmission, output flanges way offset to pass. side. Have an L I could use, but no power, will look for a 2L or 2LT. Thanks for the advice.

If you're thinking of a L series, why not consider a 1kzt/1kzte?  A lot more power than a 2lt and more reliable, but the mileage isn't as good though
