I drive a 1994 toyota pickup and I have been looking for a solid front axle for SAS.  Well then i stumbled across a great looking 1980 pickup for cheap, so my problem is sovled.  Just a few weekends of work and it will be running on my local trails.

lets see some pics. So tell us where your from and whats done to your truck. You should try to get an 84-85 solid axle. they say those are stronger, I personaly dont know. If you are interested I have one compleat hub to hub. Its out of an 84 long bed. I had a spar so i bilt it up and swaped the axles insted of having my 4X4 down. Let me know if your interested. GOOD LUCK AND HAPPY WHEELIN.

My 94 is stock.  I didn't see the point in wasting money on an IFS lift when i could save a little more and do a SAS.  The '80 that I am looking is in great shape and as soon as I work out storage issues i will purchase it.  This will be my trail rig.  The beautiful thing about this truck is that it comes with an extra front axle that is complete hub to hub.  Im in school right now so space is a little bit of a problem but hopefully i can work something out at my house.  I live in Ga, go to school in SC, so the closest legal trails would be tellico in NC or Gray Rock in Al.  So far I have no experience with rock crawling, i have been restricted to long, deep, Ga mudholes, but i am becoming increasingly intrested in the rock crawling scene.  I probably wont need that axle but thanks for the offer, im probably just gonna leave my 94 as is.

Well the 80 truck has penty of storgae of room in the bed.  And you will love the rock crawlin scene I gaurantee
