I piced up a fj40 front axle for free ,but now I think it is better suited for scrap metal. :headscratch: I don't have any solid plans for it unless it turnes out to be a diamond in the rough. Any specs ,advice, or comments on these axles are appricated.

No way, that's worth some change to a LC guy who wants front discs

That is the long side ,and part of the reason I think the housing is warped. The short side birf would not come out untin I removed the knuckle, and that is the other reason I think the housing is trashed. The po said that they ran a v8 in this thing. He has the matching rear also but I probably won't bother diging it out of the mud and weeds. Both birfs had been ground on at the flats and the short side inner axle was ground between the splines and the seal surface. :dunno: I don't know why some people do the things they do????
