CV Boots Torn

I was under my Tacoma and noticed that the inner CV boot on the driver side is torn in half.  I'm just looking for some info on where to get it fixed, estimate cost, and if I should do all 4 at once?

Not sure in your application, but in most cases it is worth the lack of aggrevation to just replace the whole axle.  They are usually around $15 for a boot.  You can also use a "split boot" they are easy to install, you dont have to remove the axle to do it but they have a tendancy to open back up.

Ya those split boots are actually junk.  How much greese was still in the joint when you looked?  If there is a good anount still in there than they should be all right to put a but on, but make sure you don't go with the split boot. Take the time to do it right the first time.  And if you start to here clicking when you turn then you know the cage has busted in the joint and you need a new cv.

Do you have the truck lifted?Napa sells a lifetime axle with boots for 125.00...The boots are not hard to change..Send me a pm and I'll give you a run down..I have changed the ones in my taco a few times before I riged the boot to hold up to the abuse I put them through..

no the truck is stock height.  I didn't even look to see how much grease is in the boot but it doesn't click yet when I turn.  Also I have the "ADD" hub system which I read a couple places is actually easier to do than manual locking hubs I couldn't tell you why but the website I read said that the process of changing them is different.

I can't see it being that much diofferent other then the hub assy but the biggest problem is getting the balljoint apart on the lower arm..The rest is easy...Just use a big F'n

Cut off the IFS and then no more worries about boots

No thanks this is my daily driver I like the comfort, for the off-roading I do in it it does quite well actually.  I even left an 84 Toy 4x behind on a trail the other day maybe it was just driver error who knows but I like it the way it came from the factory.
