Chainsaw (Not Moab)
« on: Nov 06, 2006, 05:34:54 PM »
This is a trail called chainsaw outside of delta utah, about 4 hours from Moab. It is rated at a 4+, but I would put it closer to a 4. It looked alot harder than it really was. Pretty good showing of toyotas and some heeps and one buggy.
Enjoy!
**WARNING** This was filmed in HD so the files are large. About 55mb each.

The guy in the red TJ competes in UROCK in the unlimited class with his buggy. It was a great day. Check out the end of the first video for the guy in the rover....... :haha: :help:

That first climb looks like it would go better if you turned right and got the rear tire on the bolder to keep the front down and then turn left as soon as it starts to climb.

Cool videos, need to head out that way some time.

It looked like the majority of the "problems" in the 1st video may have been driver "problems" but it is difficult to tell without actually being there.

Check out the end of the first video for the guy in the rover....... :haha: :help:

I actually thought the driver of the Rover was doing really well considering his front differential appeared to be open and he pushed the angles more than most.

The rover has "traction Control".... Heck... it might even parallel park it's self.

I seen many people look far worse with much better equipped rigs.  He certainly wasn't the poorest driver on the video.

I didn't mean to put him down. He was a fine driver who gave it his all. And for this I admire him. I meant to simply point out the amount of "air time" under his tire. :)
