v6 taco 3rd member

is the v6 taco 3rd member the same as v6 4runner,not sure what year but is a coil sprung housing.

are both trd elocker equipped or neither? or one is and one isnt?

chances  are very good  the answer is yes

its easy to put a elocker into a non elocker housing

easy was is to look at the axle code on the door jam

i think the 4runners used the v6 8"
if its the 8 inch  which can be confirmed by the axle code on the DOOR,   then YES  a elocker can be installed ,with some "modification"  of the housing
theres a 8.4 inch axle  in some tacoma's,  and its also in "some"  late model  runners      if  you are unlucky  enough to get one of these,  your just  screwed  they came mostly in NON TRD tacomas  and T100's

my neighbor has a 98 taco with A340F  and a 8 inch with 4.56  gears  from the factory

I wouldnt' call cutting part of the housing, fabbing in two corners, retapping three holes, and hoping everything lines up with the third "easy"

But, it can be done.

If they are non e-locker 3rds, it will match up allot easier.
