No kidding man.I saw it yesterday as I was doing my last minute work on my POS(as usual),and noticed it's cracked all the way around where the steering box bolts up so I ordered a brace from Currie wich should be here today and I should be able to weld it up tomorrow,HOPEFULLY!!!,but I only get to work on it for an hour on my lunch break,so I will be cuttin' it close.

That was actually us welding in my shock hoops.I got the brace on there and we're gonna throw some welds on it at lunch and I still have to sleeve my tie rod and throw in the other hoop and shock.

Hammer Hog

It is COLD out there!!!
14 degrees!!!
Check out this weather link for the Hammers. It doesn't forecast, but it records what's happening on the hour...historical data via the National Weather Service.
This monitoring station is located at one of the closest residence to the lake-bed. I will include a link to a map to show how close it really is.

I think I may stay home next to the toasty fire watching play-off games and wheel when it's a bit warmer...Now I know why I live in the desert...I hate the COLD

I think I will show to the raffle nonetheless...it's only a half hour away

Hammer Hog

Well, I got a call around 11:AM from the lakebed and they said it was warming up nicely. That's enough for me! We made it out there in no time and did Lower and Upper BJ...was awesome.
It never did seem to get out of the 30's...but oh well...fun nonetheless.

Raffle was awesome too. I won a Mattco 1/2" Impact Wrench

Looked like a very good turn-out.

Thanks AllPro! Good burgers to boot!!!

Now that I'm back in my own house, while they're still out there freezing their butts off... :sleepy:

It was cold out there!!!! But still fun. Never caught up with you Al, next time. Saw you guys going out. We were on Sledge the night before till about 4 in the morning and didn't get up in time for the runs. My freinds truck froze over from the cold, so that morning we were defrosting it and about 12 of us went and did Wrecking Ball. That was fun. One truck broke the rear 3rd and another broke off his steering studs. Welding that up and half the group turned around to make sure that they got out and the rest of us finished the trail. I lost a drain plug and rolled a bead. Another person blew a side wall and that was about the worst. It wasa a blast..........

And when we were running Sledge the night before, the first run we did. Infernal snapped his brand new, first time used front drive shaft.....that sucked!!

Shoyrtt

I ended up running Aftershock with Scotty from All Pro on Saturday. I believe there were 20 rigs on the run 17 Toys and 3 Jeeps. Our group ended up with the photographers from Peterson's and Crawl but I forgot my camera. One of the Toys with stock birfs exploded. All three of the Jeeps had axle issues.  :shake:  The last two rigs had to be winched the last 500 yds of the trail. One had no drive the other only one wheel. We didn't make it off the trail until after dark and it was COLD.  :yikes: They were great guys to wheel with I and I never mind lending a hand because it could have been me. :) I broke my knuckle studs a few weeks ago in Big Bear and wasn't impressed with the number of rigs who passed us without a single word.

Brent and I ran Clawhammer in under 2 hours on Sunday (again no camera). The trail was really chewed up but it was fun to run without a spotter and make decent time. ;)
