turbo 350 strength
« on: Oct 14, 2006, 04:51:10 AM »
ok i started with an idea of buggy w/4cyl.,&toy axles, now i have decided to do 60's and a 4.3 v-6. Will a turbo 350 be enough tranny for it or should i go for more beef? the only reason i ask is cause the turbo350 is available. i would like a 4 speed auto that i can manualy shift they work very well and are plnt strong, but a bit spendy right.

Th350 should be plenty strong, the 4.3 doesn't put out enough power to do any damage to it, unless you run it dry. I had one behind a built SBC for over a couple of years without any problems. I blew a 700r4 with the same motor after 2 months!! :flamer:
I don't need a winch, I wheel a TOYOTA!!!!!!!
