I want to preface this post by saying this was a Great Event!  I have never gone to Marlin Round Up, however I will be back.  The people, food, drink, and raffle were just the best.  I want to thank the event staff for all they did and for what seemed like a trouble free event.
I want to thank Marlin and His Company for his outstanding service to our 4-Wheel drive community and all of the help that he provided through the trail.  It seemed that at every turn, we kept hearing Marlin was helping someone.  We are all very fortunate to have Marlin involved in our sport.
I'm the one that rolled the early bonco(Blue Devil) on thousand-dollar hill on Sunday going out.  Sorry to take so long to get back, but typing with one hand sucks!
I want to thank all the people that helped in getting my rig up righted, running and off the trail.  You have no idea how much I appreciated all the help.  Thank you to all the rigs on the trail that moved aside without question to help get me through the trail and to the hospital.
I also want to thank all of the people in My Group that helped get everything collected and done.  By the time we all got home it was 28 hours non-stop.  I have always been the one helping and never really thought about it, but it is a great feeling to know you are associated with really great people in a great sport.  We have an outstanding family.
I want to confirm that I was in the hospital when Maddie came in. (The Toy that rolled on the slabs)  What a trooper, she came in calm and went with the flow.  She lost the tip of her finger, nail up.  I talked to her and her boyfriend on the way out and she was up and in great spirits.  She even made jest that she was going to have her manicurist  glue a fake nail on the bad finger, and she chuckled.  She was just great, and I am glad she's doing okay.  I told her next year we will compare scars at the "Round Up".  I hope that everyone that assisted with her boyfriends toy got home okay and that they were a fortunate as myself with help.  Hope to see you guys next year.
In parting, Doctors say I will keep all fingers and should recover just fine.  I just have to repeat to everyone what I have been hearing for the last few days.  If your going over, Drivers both hands on the wheel and passengers, grab that oshit bar.  Please!!!

Thank you to all
Mark E. Rasmussen

Hey Mark! It's great to hear from you.  I've heard a lot about you and Maddie and the incidents but it's great to hear it straight from your mouth....er.... fingers :disturbed: I'm glad to hear that you are both okay and recovering.

:psss: I see you're a Rasmussen... are you related to any of the Livermore Rasmussens?

When I ran over to see you being helped out the drivers door, I was concerned about the extent of your injury. It did not look good to say the least. However, after reading your upbeat post, we are all greatful.

I also trust that your dauther is OK. See seemed to take it awful hard.

You had a great group of guys that immediately knew just what to do.
In spite of all that happened, it was a relief to see your bronco driving out under it own power while i was helping Kurtis from Washingtion.

I trust your hand will recover completly and look forward to wheeling with you again.
