atf in my transfercase

ok guys when i drained my transfercase to install my duel cases
it was filled with what looked like automatic
transmision fluid. is this what is supposed to be in it
or should i go back with 90 weight?

Gear driven transfer cases should be filled with 80/90 gear oil.

They had ATF in them robert? What the hell for?

i dunno.
book calls for 90w.
thats what i put in.(90)
