Dave, how hard of a swap would it be to put that fuel injected motor into an 84 Runner?

I'll resize the 4runner pics tonight and get them up.

Hottrod81- I swap a late model 22RE into my 1984 4runner about 5 years ago. I sold that truck too :smack:. I used Off Road Solutions wire kit for the conversion. I would recommend them for any Toyota engine harness. I found an EFI 4runner fuel tank and steel lines from a 1987 4runner. That made the swap so much easier. With the ORS harness it’s a very easy swap and can be done in 2 weekends.

DO you still have the 22RE ?
Is there a difference between the late 80's engines and the early 90's engines?
My 85 4Runner has a terrible rod knock and has been parked for a few months! (swapping in another engine would be so much faster than going the 'total rebuild way' for us right now)
How many miles on it... any issues that you know of... you coming North to go Salmon fishing any time in the near future?
