1995 4Runner lift kit question.
« on: Aug 18, 2006, 12:25:47 PM »
A friend of mine recently acquired a '95 4Runner, fully loaded with a wonderful automatic transmission. My question is where can I find a lift kit for this truck, everything I have found so far is only for the manual transmission trucks. He is interested in a leveling kit as well as a small body lift. Anyone know where I can find one of these?

And don't worry, I've already made the suggestion to just SAS the front end, no luck there.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Roger is a Mod on 4x4Wire and he sells some pretty good...out of the box stuff. His site is full of tech and how to tech.

You must refering to a body lift since a spring lift would have no effect on it being an auto. If you are doing a body lift to an auto the main issue is the shift rods from the trans/tcase to the levers. Those 2 rods are adjustable to some minor degree and can accomodate a 2" body lift, any more than that and you will have to make them longer. On my 86 I only did a 2" and was able to get away with just adjusting the rods, my brother did a 3" and had to cut the rods and add some small tubing to the middle.
