Water Choke Not Working... Solved Thanks!
« on: Aug 09, 2006, 06:38:39 PM »
Good Evening, maybe someone can assist.
Toyota 20R 4X4 1980, relatively stock.  The water choke is not working properly.  I've diagnose the water is not heating up in that area.  Looks like there are two positive flows of water to the choke, cancelling out each other.

The Heater does not show to get hot either.

Can someone kindly inform the proper connections?
There is one outlet/inlet(?) on back of timing cover (passenger side).  Does that go to heater or choke?
There is one outlet/inlet(?) on head behind intake manifold.    Does that go to heater or choke?
There is one, what appears to be an outlet, that goes straight up from intake manifold, I'm pretty sure that goes to the choke.

Thanks in advance for any information. :)

Thanks alot!! "79Coyotefrg" that helped alot.  I had them transposed, they're both in the same area.  Now my choke is working properly and truck is running like a top!  :clap2:
