I just got done putting a toyota celica transmission into my 1985 toyota 2wd, everything inside the case looked good none of the gears where messed up and the berrings and syncro's were good.
I have a prob thow some times u go too put it into 1st and it grinds like its not totally going into gear and u can push really hard and it tryed too pop back out but if u put it into 2nd and try to take off then shift into 1st again it will work fine, and then sometimes it will just work without probs?
Does anyone know why it might be doing this its got me stumped and i can't figure it out.
Any help would be ausome.

Thanks adam
If you didn't make it, and it ain't broke, you didn't try hard enough.

Adam, you need to check the green seat, and the white nylon socket on the end of the shifter handle. These are Toyota dealer items. I sell them, or you can get them from your local shop.
