2wd tranny to 4wd?

my turbo tranny lost 1st and 2th gear. theres a 2wd turbo tranny for sale by me. can i make that tranny work on my 4wd by swotching some items around?

haha, this thread is old, but i saw it and i thought i would respond...

the 4x2 and 4x4 trannies in front are the same, however at the mid section, they change..... input shaft is the same, but output shaft is where the 4x4 and 4x2 differ.... at the midsection, there is either the tailshaft ofn a 4x2 or a tcase on a 4x4
