stage 1 was long with 5 gates and 3 bonuses every body hit cones at gated B,C and D then the bonus at E was easy but it took forever to get to F which everybody hit and only Troy and Buzz finished the coarse.
Stage 2 was short with 3 gates and a bonus on C there was a nasty little hill going up to B which every one had trouble with and the C bonus was undoable for Most of us, Eric ( in the toyota) rolled and everyone timed out but Troy.
Stage 3 was Technical and tight with 3 gates and no Bonus. We fought hard to not get stuck and then to get unstuck. took lots of backs and hit a few cones in our rush at the end. Kathleen made an unbelievable left front wheel pirouette for 10 feet after a hard bounce almost threw her over on the side. I was watching from the Z gate and it was like slow motion. her letting it get almost unsavable then driving hard on 1 wheel and I am yelling in that slow motion voice D...R...I...V...E she pulled it off an we finally finished one.
Stage 4 had 3 gates and 2 bonuses. the approach looked easy but would grab front and rear diffs at the same time and people had to really fight it. I took her way right and people thought we were going to roll before the a gate. it worked and we ran right up the ramp. went through B and did not take the C bonus. (i had seen trophy's roll out of that spot a few years ago and did not want any part of it). we took a stop cause we did not pay attention to the clock and while we were deciding to take the big drop bonus on D it had a huge rock at the bottom that was trying to roll everyone only Eric had tried it before us and he had to take reverses to get off the rock. She hit it perfect and as people realised we were going for it they were screaming NOOO your gong to roll. She drove out of it like a sunday drive. Kathleen was pretty high by now.
Stage 5 was an easy 3 gate thing we did as well as anyone with 1 cone and 1 back.
by the end of the 1st day 2nd to 5th was with in 20 points.
