Sundowner

truck located in NJ at NY state line.

here's the rundown:
it's an 84 runner that was gutted and redone from scratch.
the interior is 100% mint condition SR-5. new carpet, refurbed the dash, even rebuilt the clinometer.
the seats are leather froma BMW 318is, the center console is from a 2003 tacoma. ( gotta have cupholders and a place to store CD's) and a new CD player with remote and XM ready. The body tub and doors have been lined with sound deadening material ala dynamat to make the truck feel and sound like a modern SUV. Works great.

The engine is a fresh built 22rte, and it's been built to handle boost. new cometic high-boost head gasket, ARP head and rod studs, the works. has a fresh rebuilt .60 trim T-3 (huge compared to the stock CT-20) adjustable boost controller, and new 3" exhaust all the way back with a new cat and a proper flex joint. This truck  will out run my stock 3800 lb 3.4L tacoma x-cab any day of the week.  you'll notice in some of the pictures I've since added a black hood and a scoop. the scoop feeds air to the intercooler mounted on top of the engine, WRX style, and I've also added a blow-off valve. I was gonna have the hood painted to match the truck, but I kind of like it. I do still have the original blue hood, if you really want it. Autometer Carbon fiber boost and A/F ratio gauges are mounted in a pillar gauge pod.

the transmission is a G52 that the previous owner had rebuilt and upgraded to a G54. I was told it was a Marlin built tranny, but I can't confirm that.

it's an 84, so front and rear solid axles, stock. all the steering linkage has been replaced with new toyota parts. gear ratio is 4.88. right now it has about 2" of lift and sits on near new BFG MT 32"s on Mickey Thompson Classic II rims. shocks are new RS5000's. truck rides and handles as well as my Tacoma.

The body is about as cherry as you're ever gonna find. no rust on it ANYWHERE. the rear quarters have been replaced with fiberglass pieces from toyotafiberglass.com so they will never ever rust. truck was painted peterbuilt blue-grey last fall.paint is not show car perfect, there are about 3 small quarter size.defects, but is really really good.  The ARB front bumper has a Ramsey REP8000 in it and the controller is hardwired to a switch panel in the dash. The rear bumper is a Stout Industries with tire carrier and jerry can rack. It's gota new grille, new mirrors, the stainless trim aroudn the windhshiled was pulled and redone. It literally looks like a brand new truck.

Everything works in the truck, it's the kind of vehicle you get in and go and don't think twice about if it works or not.

the only things I have left to do on the truck are to finish assembling the air conditioning on it, and gear the front axle 4.88 to match the back. All this would be done before time of sale.

I'm still not even really sure I want to do this, I really like this truck.
it's the third vehicle I've rebuilt and it's my favorite of them all.

I'd like to get $7500. I know it's high but I've never seen it's equal.
Sorry, but I'm not interested in trades for other rigs,  I'm thinking getting out of 4wheeling altogether.

If you want a turn-key rust free turbo charged solid axle 4runner with a manual transmission, this is pretty much the only one in existence that I know of.
