Funny rocks are in little naches, up chinook pass, im not going to the rock crawls at all. And im staying with a buddy up there so i cant really invite anyone, maybe next time if i have a little more notice you can come. most of the trails we run are locker required, or a winch required.

Just doing a little venting on how i absolutly hate my truck at this moment! I cant for some reason get the ifs box to mount up right. i orders TG's mounting plates they didn't have the angle i wanted so i redrilled them and screwed them up so i took there layout and cut some new one and then screwed those up so i decided i would just go with the tab on top of the frame (i know not a good idea because it can rip the frame in half) and got that all together and then had to do some more cutting on the core support to get the box to fit and now my holes in the frame don't line up, i dont know if i should just redrill the frame holes or plate the entire frame with some tube steel and start all over from scratch and try and figure out the best way. Im so pissed right now i cant even think straight, why cant i just do something right without screwing it up, why does everything on this damn truck have to be so complicated and always go wrong? Oh boy maybe ill get some sleep and rethink this in the morning. Night.  :chillpill:

So a little update as the dooms days gets closer, i got the tranny crossmember built and mounted due to a little warpage we had to make it fit, hopefully i can save up enough money to get either a FROR style one or a budbuilt one, I've pretty much got the frame plates for the steering box done i just need to weld them on.

Oh yeah some of my "pop" drinking buddies came over and they actually helped out  :yikes: Ill post up pics later of the progress. Later

Justin AKA Yotamckimboy4x4 came over today and helped put on a set of sliders i got, and i got all the hysteer mounted except the box still figuring out the best way to do it. But the sliders do look cool! I got a question, how bad is it to run without front shocks? I won't have front shocks by next weekend so i wasn't planning on running them i know its not a good idea but what can you do eh?

Yeah i hope john and i have enough time left in the school year to cut our locks out, as for the crossmember ill probably paint it blue after this weekend but for now primer it is. Not any real big deal i just don't want to fight putting that thing back in. As for the sliders they looked gay blue on the truck too much blue even for "project blue"  :cheese:

Hey I was curious did you have to notch out the bottom of your cab to clear the support bars for the sliders, or did you just weld them at a downward angle or what?  Looking at mine, If I want to run them straight out from the frame, which seems like the strongest way, Id have to make little notches in the body.  Lookin good... beadlocks are the tits...

No i didn't notch the body on my sliders, all i did was put them up against the body and tacked them onto the frame there then i put the slider on and set the angle i wanted them at and tacked them together then broke the tacks off of the frame and welded the sliders solid.

Dont have any pics because it was dark but for the first time in like 3 months my truck saw the outside world and let me tell you what it felt awsome to drive her again. Couldn't really do anything except see if my tires rubbed when i turned stop to stop and well they don't, i haven't bled the brakes yet or put the front wheel spacers on or the front shocks but steering is done and now just some little things. Im so excited that i finally accomplished my goal of building a capable rock rig (i hope) im going to test it out this weekend and ill make sure to take plenty of pics for all to see. :woohoo:  :bananasplit:  :hyper: :hyper: :spin: :rockingout:

Sometimes they dont stay locked while I am backing up, but that's fine because I dont have a backup camera to see where Im going (like our RV) so I just simply dont ever back up"- BigMike

Drove her around a little and flexed it out in the creek. All i have to say is WOW  :yikes: it flexes alot more than the old springs and is amazingly stable. Ill take some pics tomorrow, i also go the sliders fully welded on and made some kickass steps for them with a little customizing involved.

i think your truck would look better without that sticker above the license plate

also is your license plate lighted?
