rear leaf thing i saw???

ive seen several trucks with what looks like half a leaf attached to ther frame goin the back with a shakle connecting to the normal leaf setup kinda like if your rear shakle mount droped down to add more flex. does any one have pics of this on ther trucks or know where i could learn more about it

they're called Buggy springs, 1/4 ellipticals, 3/4 ellipticals etc.
