T-case rear output shaft bearing
« on: Jun 19, 2006, 08:54:37 PM »
Well I've got a really bad vibration at speeds above 50. The pinion is tight and has no play. the U-joints are new and I think the d-shaft is in phase so from what i've found in the search i've narrowed it down to the driveshaft itself or the output bearing.
Anybody know where I can get that bearing? I checked at my local auto parts store and they couldn't find it. I don't want to spend 184.00 bucks for the whole minor t-case rebuild kit. Will I have to pay a visit to the stealership?

pull the shaft and check it first. the output shaft is supported by two ball bearings, so it's normal for it to have some play.  try retorquing it first; that worked for me.
