Need some mini truck aisin hubs
« on: Dec 25, 2003, 06:32:13 PM »
I'm needing some aisin hubs off of a straight axle mini truck or 4runner for my cruiser.  Need them to be in good shape and ready to be slapped on.
Thanks

Joseph

Can you use a pair off of an 88 toyota longbed with IFS? Are you looking for a full assembly or just the hub lock?

ifs hubs won't work with sold axle trucks...might work on your cruiser but i'm not sure but someone here might. i hear asain hubs off of sammys and troopers will work on mini-trucks but i haven't tried them(i don't know if cruisers are the same as mini-trucks).

don't go warn they suck compaired to asain.
good luck with your search.

I've "heard" the same thing about warn. Even though I haven't "seen" it myself.

Your right, the ifs aisins will not work as far as I know...granted I think I have heard that if you make some kind of spacer they might?
I had a set of warns when I had the stock set up but now I have mini truck knuckels up front.  I have a set of cheapo superwinch hubs now that are banged up pretty bad so I want to replace them before I'm in the middle of no-where when they let go....

solid axle hubs have 30 splines, ifs hubs have 27 (?) splines.  If you pull the guts out of the solid axle style they will go right into the ifs hubs.  so most of the parts are interchangable.

WhiteTrash is right and so is Ruger. I Cracked a dial on my warns and they stick out further.  Warn wouldnt warrantee it. . .  . something about rock damage . . . Go figure. . .

I have a set if you are still looking.
By hte way the warns do suck, my problem has been them shearing off the dowel pins and working back and forth, ripping apart the gaskets..
