what sterring box to use

what steering box should I use with a gm 10 bolt front rear?  Should I use a toy ifs box or a chevy box?  is the 88? toy 2 wheeler the same box as the ifs.please your :twocents:needed. thanks

u didnt say if u were using cross over. why using a ten bolt . ifs box out of a 4x4 . with cross over. ten bolt will be ur weak link. better dana 44 or dana 60 .

Use the toy box...all the lines and steering shaft already match up.
IFS is best kept at ambient temperature in a pile of scrap in the backyard.  When kept under a functioning vehicle, it tends to greatly diminish said vehicle's offroad ability.     -reklund5

ignore the 10bolt comment..   personally if i were to do it again i would use a scout 2 box.  pitman arm faces forward so you can get the axle way out in front  and not run out of frame  trying to get the steering box far forward enough to clear the tierod.  the steering arms for these axles are much longer than toyota axle hysteer arms

hey thanks for the input guys.  does anyone know if the 2nd gen two wheel drive toys run the same box as the ifs 4x4. thanks again guys
