cant do it without them being WAYYY off the hub..  since the centers of the wheel hubs them selfs have to be machined down to fit.   from what i understand on front axles and full float axles ( except 14bolt) you can only go up  with a adapter  no going down. this is why special wheel hubs are machined for the 5 on 5.5 and 6 on 5.5

thats exact what I was thinking and I had never heard of such a adapter but if someone had some crazy thing out there that would work I wanted to at least see it.  There is a company that makes 6 lug conversion for the 14b and I can't seem to get a hold of them.  4wheel of road did a write up a while ago about the 14b and showed the kit in the magazine.  I have called, left messages and emailed the company with no luck.  Regarding 60's you can get conversions from a number of companies but not for the 14b.  If I can find the company that does that 6 lug conv for the 14 bolt I'll post it up and see if anyone has heard of them or talked to them.  I'd be interested but the cost is WAY to much.  I could buy some nice beadlocks for the cost of converting over to 6 lug.

on the 14bolt all you have to do is redrill the wheel hub

don't see how you could do that but if you have any more info on that I'd be interested in seeing it

basicly the center portion of the hub ( where the axle bolts to) is small enough for a 6lug wheel to fit over..  so all you have to do is redrill the hub flange to the 6 lug pattern. and grind down the axle flange a little or you have to pull the shaft each time you  want to pull the wheel off.  this is done ALOT but i believe you have to convert to disks to do it.

My problem is I just bought some very expensive TR beadlock wheels and now on my Toy axles I am too narrow due to the different offset of these wheels compared to my others.

Wouldn't life be easier to say...run the 8-lug front, throw 6-8lug adapters on the rear toy axle, and get new wheels.  You can sell the old wheels, spcers on the rear axle are a lot less stress than on the front...

So what, we should all follow your lead and swap in 10-bolts?  The cookie cutter toyota is why we are all here:  A reliable wheeling platform that can be built mild to hardcore fairly cheaply.  The idea here is to get out wheeling, not speng a thousand hours developing the most off the wall axle swap god has ever seen.

where did i say  we should all swap in 10bolts?  way to jump to conclusions. The cookie cutter toyota is LAME  we all laugh at how jeeps are the same.  nothing but hypocrits.

And  thousands of hours for a off the wall axle swap?  if it takes you a long time to stick a axle into a truck  then yer in the wrong sport.

Im sorry if you dont like my opinion of where  everything is going.  im just sick of seeing the same thing. Oh hey look..  another toyota with a marlin/allpro kit and some sliders and 35s/37s.  whatever.

I have some very built Toy axles, with the wheels I bought I am going to be to narrow.  I got a good price on the wheels although now looking at it I haven't saved much do to all this grief.  If I were to re buy the wheels  in an 8 lug opattern they would cost around $700 a wheel.  I doubt I could sell these?

Nope cut the inside ring of the rim, what makes it a rim. Order a set off pirate and have a wheel building company weld them in.
