Confused about 30 spline longfeilds

[Doc Holiday]

One of my buddys has a 83 or something Landcrusier, the SUV style and he has 30 spline longfeilds in it, what i dont get is that they say you can put these 30 spline longfeilds in your mini truck axels as well, arent the landcrusier axels wider then the mini truck axels, also another question is for the aussie locker, it says that the locker is a 30 spline, so do you have to get 30 spline axels to fit into the locker.
