head lights stop working !!!

need help guys !! was driving home from work and my head lights stop working. got out check everything. everything else works taillights,back up lights, turn signals, side markers and high beams. so i had to drive home in high beams ppl didnt like it but oh well. so today look more into it check the fuses in the kick panel and under the hood everythings good ! notting blown. went out and bought new head lights thinking that they would work but the same thing. got high beams but no driving lights. i've checked all the grounds, everything is grounded properly. and now im just lost. what else could it be ?

also my lights where working the previous night.
its an 87 4runner if anyone wants to know.

:dunno: I just drive with my brights on all the time. no one ever flashes me....

i really dont want to drive w/ my high beams. as i drive in the city alot cuz my rig is my dd/weekend warrior. also the popo are  pricks down here. does anyone know ?

Maybe the headlight switch crapped out.
