37" MTRs on 15x10 beadlocks?
« on: May 19, 2006, 07:08:22 AM »
Does anyone here run a 12.5 wide tire on a 15x10 beadlock wheel?

I just picked up a set of 37" MTRs to mount on some 15x10 Allied beadlocks. The MTRs seem alittle narrow, and I am afraid the sidewall and wheel is going to get really beat up in the rocks.

I'm leaning towards picking up some 36x13.5 IROKS or 38x14.5 SXs to get alittle wider tire on the 10" wheel.

Any suggestions...?

I ran 33" MYR's on 15 x 10 TR beadlocks with no issues then I went to a 35 x 14.50 MTR with no issues.  I sold them to get 20" TR beadlocks and 41" Irok's  I'll see how this works?   Jim

i run that set up minus the bead lock. those tires hold up great. the sidewalls take alot of abuse! I have taken them through the hammers a couple times and held up great. Even with the side wall folded back on to itself, and no rips or even cuts.

MTRs have a very strong sidewall and i dout you will run into problems with the backside coming off the bead or tearing them. It takes awhile for them to tear
