What about when people consistently spell out "um"  when typing a sentence.
"I want to um put dual cases and um gears in my truck"

Man this post has made me paranoid of my grammar now.....where's that dang spell check button

Im sure someone said it already, but spell the damn word right! Dont make things shorter like u or y for you and why. Thats just annoying

What about texting?  You know that's where a lot of this comes from anyway.  A couple years ago there was a little skit on that fake news show with John Stewart (can't remember the name of it now), where Mike Cobert? was trying to dispute how easy texting was, and was explaining the whole time how you just hit this key, then that key 4 times, then another one 3 times....and so on.  It was frickin hilarious man.  I think the same guy doing that skit is now the main character on "the office".  Man, I'm really starting to hate not having tv now talking about funny shows

I really couldn't care less about grammar in people post, I'm a french canadian and I an't even write a sentence in french without making a mistake or two. All that mather to me is that I should be able to read what you write without having to decode your writing.

About the only things that bother me are all the words that sounds the same but are written differently and people use either of them when typing.

your = something you have, this is your screen
you're = short for you are
where = some place
we're = we are
off = on/off
of = this guy is full of ...
too = there's too much water in my head
two = same as 2, if you can't write numbers with letter why don't you just type the number, isn't that simple enough 
to = I need to do something about this
now = do it now
know = I know this guy

You get the point.

Personally, I type in code, telcom short hand all day long, I abbreviate everything. I come over here, do my best to get to the point and make it as clear and quick as I can. Hope it doesnt bother anyone. I'm a decent writer. Only like to do it on my time. But as long as there are no major foul-ups in any one persons post, doesn't bother me a bit.

Different bird. Telecom short hand is just a bunch of acronyms. (Sht, gnd, hool, etir, dmarc, nwi, crsconn) Are you one of those people that type those orders I have to read every day? It is a PITA.
